Danish driving license

The embassy and consulates has limited assistance to provide in regards to the Danish driving license. We do not have the legal rights to issue a new Danish driving license and International driving license. Please see below our services:

  • Translation of the Danish driving license (actual card and not from the korekort app)
  • Forwarding of applications for an International driving license to Denmark.

Translation of Danish driving license:

The Philippines's Land Transportation Office or LTO requires that foreign nationals who wish to continue driving in the Philippines after 90-days must apply or convert their Danish driver's license to a Philippine driver's license. The LTO will require the translation of your Danish driving license, issued by the embassy or consulate. Please see below procedures:

  • Personal appearance at the Embassy and present your valid /actual Danish driving license. If you cannot come in person, you can send your authorized representative.
  • Please bring proof of payment on the day of your appointment. The current processing fee is PHP 4,500 (as of 03 January 2024) payable directly to the embassy’s bank account, see below details or refer to this link

  • We can issue the translation certificate on the same day of your appointment at the embassy. If applied thru the consulate, please allow at least 3 working days or email us [email protected] for assistance. 

Application for an International driving license

The embassy and/or consulates can only assist in the forwarding of an application for an International driving license. The consular service fee for this process is PHP 4,100 (as of 03 January 2024). It is strongly advised that you apply directly at your municipality in Denmark. 


Lost, stolen or damaged Danish driving license

You have to apply directly at your kommune in Denmark as the embassy cannot issue a new driving license.  You will also need to request a Police Report from the area where your driving license was lost or stolen. 

If you need to apply for a Philippine driver's license, please contact the LTO to check if a confirmation of your driving rights issued by the Danish Road Traffic Authority (Fstyr) will suffice in lieu of the actual Danish driving license. Details of the Fstyr: https://fstyr.dk/en/
