How to apply for a visa
The Danish Embassy in Manila covers visa applications to Denmark, Greenland, Faroe Islands, and Estonia.
To initiate your visa application, you must determine the purpose of your visit to any of these destinations. Visa requirements vary based on the nature of your trip.
Purposes include:
- Private Visits (Visiting a spouse, romantic partner, parents, children, siblings, distant relatives, and friends)
- Business Trips
- Seafarers
- Tourism

Step by step guide
- All individuals seeking a visa through the Danish Embassy must first fill in their application and pay the visa fee online through ApplyVisa
- After completing the online application and fee payment, you must save and print the cover letter from ApplyVisa. You will need this document later.
- Now follow the step by step guide on the VFS website where you may also see the checklist of requirements depending on your visa type.

Processing time
- For applications submitted at a Danish diplomatic mission, the standard processing time is normally 15 days
- In cases where the processing requires further enquiries, the maximum processing time is: 45 days.
- The processing time starts when the mission receives and registers the application in the visa system. It is not calculated from the time you apply online or submit the application at a VFS location.
