Visa and Residence Permit

In order to travel to Denmark, Filipino citizens need a Schengen visa, a valid residence or work permit which should be obtained before departure from the Philippines. Please note however that even if you already hold a Schengen short-term visa you are still subject to immigration control and are not guaranteed entry into any of the Schengen countries.

As of 2 February 2015, Visa applications can be submitted at the Danish Visa Application Center (VAC), Mondays to Fridays, from 7.00 - 09.00 for walk-in applicants and 09.00-14.00 for scheduled appointments. For information on which type of visa to apply for and the corresponding list of requirements, click on the type of visa application that you wish to lodge found on the left panel of this page.

For more information about submitting your application at the Danish Visa Application Center, please click here.

Processing time may vary for every visa application file. For more information, please click here.

Please note that in the Philippines, only the Embassy processes visa applications to Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

The Embassy also offers a Red Carpet program which is a more simplified procedure for business travelers to Denmark from private and public companies and NGO’s accredited by the embassy. For more information, please click here.

In order to fully understand the regulations and requirements involved in your application, we strongly recommend that you read all the information on this website. The Embassy is just setting up the post in Manila, therefore if you have any other questions or concerns not found on our web page, kindly let us know and we’d be glad to assist and reply to your queries.
