Danish passports at the Consulates

Which passport cases do the Consulates still handle?

The consulates in Cebu and Davao can:

Extend the validity of passports

The consulates can extend the validity of a 10-year passport for maximum of one year. A passport can only be extended once and if it expired within the last three months or close to expiry. We recommend to always verify with the authorities of the country or countries where you plan to travel to if the extended passports are recognized. The following are the requirements:

  • completed application form
  • current Danish passport

You may refer to MFA links to other countries' passport and visa requirements.

Issue an emergency passport

An emergency passport may, upon application, be issued to applicants who have lost their passports and when it is not possible to issue a new passport or to extend the validity of the current passport. When applying for a provisional passport, the applicant must submit the following requirements:

  • completed application form
  • police report (if current passport is lost/stolen)
  • one passport-sized photo (white background)
  • current passport (if available)

The validity of an emergency passport is limited to the period required for the journey and rules of the countries to be travelled through and for a period not exceeding 12 months. There are some countries that do not allow entry using an emergency passport. Therefore, we recommend that you verify whether the authorities of the country or countries you plan to travel to recognize emergency passports.

Before leaving the Philippines on an emergency passport, we recommend that you go to the Bureau of Immigration to get a new entry stamp prior leaving the country. Please refer to the Bureau of Immigration for further information.
