Apostille Convention on Authentication of Documents

ANNOUNCEMENT:

With the entry into force of the Apostille Convention for the Philippines on 14 May 2019, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will issue an Apostille instead of an Authentication Certificate as proof of authentication of public documents for use abroad.

Documents with Apostille from the DFA do not need legalisation from the Danish Embassy and Consulates.

IMPORTANT:

All documents authenticated (with red ribbon) by the DFA before 14 May 2019, will still be accepted for legalisation at VFS Global and Consulates.

The Philippine DFA authentication (red ribbon) must be issued within the last 6 months. 

Please note that the embassy reserves the right to reject legalisation of a document with incorrect information or clerical errors even though it may have already been legalised by the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs.

 

LEGALISATION OF DANISH DOCUMENTS
